Last year the Luc Robitaille Celebrity Shootout was part of the NHL All Star & NHL 100 celebration at Staples Center. This year it’s headed back to South Bay at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, where the LA Kings practice.
The event is not just trash talk and hockey fights with celebrities and legends a like. All proceeds from this event go to Echoes of Hope, a charity founded by Stacia and Luc Robitaille to awaken a spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential. They are committed to inspire and empower motivated youth through compassion, integrity, advocacy and individual holistic support.
Participating in the 11th annual Celebrity Shootout this year include members of the LA Kings organization and alumni: Luc Robitaille, Derek Armstrong, Nelson Emerson, Jim Fox, Jason Marshall, Sean O’Donnell, Bill Ranford and Pierre Turgeon. Plus more NHL alumni like Kyle Calder, Mike Donnelly, Dany Heatley, Sheldon Souray, Jamie Storr and Ray Whitney. Several actors will also be rounding out the roster like David Boreanaz, Billy Flynn (Days of Our Lives), Michael Rosenbaum, David & Lorenzo Henrie, R5 – Riker, Rocky, Rydel, Ryland and Ross Lynch (My Friend Dahmer) and Michael Vartan.
